Hi all,
I know everyone likes hearing good news when it's there, so here's ours:
We went back to the vet today (after missing three appointments in the last
week because she wouldn't let me get her from under the King-size bed or
behind the wall unit entertainment center) finally to get Rissa-Tai checked.
Surprisingly, she is doing much better -- she is up almost half a pound to 10
lb. 2 1/2 oz., and her pcv went up from 26% to 33%, in the normal range again
for the first time in months.
This cat continues to amaze everyone, she always seems to rebound, even from
where her pcv was a couple of months ago, down in the teens. The one thing
I'm being really firm with the vet with now is no Depo at all unless she
loses over 1/2 a pound since apparently her bloodwork (a superchem done about
three weeks ago) showed some problems thanks to long term effects from the
DepoMedrol, which I had asked them to give only when necessary and the vet
gave every time.
It just reminds us that even whe we find a decent vet that you still have to
stay on top of them.
Have a good weekend,
Pam
