Title: Re: Thanks
Lee,

I know words can't express how much I wish all our "healing vibes" and love could've saved Cessna, or  your heart from breaking. Unfortunately, this crazy damn plague isn't disciminatory. And you can't blame yourself or anyone else. I think you did the right thing. She was in a lot of pain, and it would've only gotten worse for her. I had to do the same thing with my kitty, Aspen. Putting him to sleep, I  felt like tearing my heart out in the process. It's different for everyone, but any which way it happens, it hurts like hell. I hope you know we're all here for you and that we'll offer any support or advice we can. Isn't that why our list is here? We love our kitties, and we learn to love those of others as  we get to "know" them better and better through this list. Cessna sounded brave, sweet, funny, full of personality and a little possessive, from all the fun things you told us about her before it got really bad. She sounded like one in a million, and if I could, I'd give you a huge hug for taking care of such a trooper. She was brave, and you were too, by being unselfish and letting her go.  She's probably going to look at you through the big eyes of some little kitten someday, and you'll know she's back. Until then, she'll be frolicking at the bridge and playing with all our furbabies already there. Take care, and allow yourself to grieve. There's nothing selfish about doing that. We're here for you.
Hugs,
Rebecca

Thanks to everyone for all your support. I had you guys this time, with Aileron I was alone, I was not alone this time. I want to let you guys know how it ended. I went back to the Emergency Clinic. As we all suspected, her neck was severely infected. Why, I don't know, the vet did not give her any antibiotics just to keep up with their little holistic routine. The ER vet decided to take X-rays of her belly. There they found 2 large masses. She did a needle biopsy. With the biopsy they look for 7 different characteristics. If you have 4 it is considered a malignancy. Cessna had 6 out of 7. She was so miserable and weak I had to allow her some dignity. I keep thinking how she tried to leave this world the day before and technology saved her. I had to let her go. I held her while she passed. Then I went home to my Amelia.
