Pamela:

I'd be interested in hearing about your feline herpes cats and their
symptoms and what you do for treatment. I have several with chronic
"runny" (clear) eye, (eye slightly more closed than other eye), some
with the chronic snotty nose, a couple that have like a chronic chest
congestion. Then I have also had two who did the eye "meltdown" as
you called it - eye in one swelled so bad so fast that her head
swelled up - and consequently had to have eye removed. I have another
one currently who has an ulcer on the eye and we are treating with
just antibiotics, lysine, vit C and B as she is too small and too
young to have the eye removed. It really hasn't gotten any worse, but
then it really hasn't gotten any better. I'd be interested in your
vet's decision to sew the eye shut and how that is going to help heal
the eye.

If you feel that the group wouldn't be interested in reading about
all the gory details, feel free to write me off list.

Hurt not the earth, neither the sea nor the trees.
