Hi Mary,
Thanks for your input.
My Chewy who died a 5 years ago. Wasn't vaccinated. My
boyfriend let him out and when he left for work Chewy wasn't
around so he figured Spider (our older cat) would watch him. (Yeah
right like he know that). I came home from work saw him trotting to
the house with his tail all puffed up. (I checked him for blood or open wounds, none) I never giving it a second thought. Three months later he couldn't swollen. Went to vet got some antibotics, still not doing well then tested for Felv., came back positive. All this time he played, eat licked the others cats and no one else got it. Now everyone is vaccinated.
Charmed was a kitten rescued behind a pizza place. All were very
sick with URI in fact his sister was so bad they did not think she
would make it thru the night. 1 Week after I had the group I was
able to touch them, the second week I noticed lumps under
Charmed. You know they all had little scabs on them like flea bites or mosquito bites. But that was only thing I found as bites go. Maybe it was transmitted by bug bites? Could that be possible? My vet thinks he may have come across a cat and they sneezed on him. So I still don't know why he got it and not his 4 siblings
didn't consider all had URI.
