Yeah, you would think they would check. It really scares me when people who work in "animal envionment" are like Michael. The petsmart in N Plainfield the manager is great ever once in awhile a cat gets loose and this guy is the first one to hit the floor. They told me he doesn't care if the cat is nasty spitting at of fear he goes in and catches the little thing. Wish he was at our location.
About 5 years ago we have the township give free rabies. They had cats and dogs go on the same day (they don't do that anymore). The location was at the Dump site for the town in the garage area. This lady who was helping hold the cats as the dr gave the shot let go of a cat cos the cat scratched her. She was ranting looking for sympathy from the crowd with a little blood on her finger and a tiny scratch on her face. Well no one cared about her we all were worried as the cat ran down the dirt path. Since then like I said they have the cats in the mun. bldg and when ever I go she looks at me and starts talking about that day how some called and complained about her. It wasn't me I just was running my mouth about the cat getting away. Get this we had a injured skunk wandering on our street and when animal control came she was the one I wanted to to hit her she was so rude about this poor little creature I wish he would of sprayed her before they caught her. She must be related to the guy at Petsmart.

you would think that they would make it a requirement that the employees be
pet oriented.

Mama cat is still loose. I have offered to Petsmart corp and
complain about him. I not sure but it' s been sorta dismissed.
Michael can be nice at times (I never saw it) and a real jerk which
is 80% of the time. He did go on tv and do a special about the 83
cats being that a few are in Love a Pet but I don't want to rock any
boats I am not the president of the group. Mama cat was spotted
(get this) with another cat running past the grooming center.
She will not be trapped. She is using the litter area. She either
goes on the floor behind there or tears a bag of litter and uses it
(smart little girl). I suggested that we put a trap near the litter (no
one can see it meaning customer wise) and put litter near it. Then
put litter in it after a week or so and boom she trapped. (hopefully).
The problem is that they are afraid if she is caught there is no one
to take her out. If they could alert the employess then one of us
could swing by. I would even leave work for an hour to do it.
Its so fustrating. The worst part I think is that the girl who lost the
cat (let the cat escape didn't even really fase her) If it was me I
would of been sliding on that floor burn marks and all.

That is simply UNBELIEVABLE!! You should threaten to call animal
control on the store! I can't believe they won't cooperate and help
