There is always a certain amount of stress when our kitties go to
the vet for whatever reason. Stress can sometimes bring on symptoms of
Feline Leukemia. But, most of the List feel that the stress of constant
heat will create much more stress on your kitten.
I have a male Felv+ cat and he was neutered successfully. He didn't
have any symptoms when he was neutered and he still has no symptoms.
Just as a knowledgeable caution to you, any cat or dog who goes
under anesthesia for surgery is always at some risk. The risk is
slight, but you should be aware of it. I am a former Veterinary
Technician and feel spaying/neutering is still the best thing for the
health of your kitten.
