Thanks for your good wishes, Brenda. Chloe is fine. She has some drops for her ears and the vet said there was probably nothing to be concerned about with her panting just yet. Just normal, overly eager play for a kitten. The vet was also amazed at how big Chloe has grown. When I first got her, she weighed under 2 lbs and was rather sickly. Now she is a robust, roly-poly kitten. She weighs over six pounds and has a sleek, glossy coat. The vet kept saying, I can't believe it. I can't believe it. She brought in the technicians from the back so they could see how well Chloe was doing, too. All in all, I'd say that was the best time we've ever had at the vet... Mention Cardiomyopathy or ask about any other heart problems to your vet. Years and years ago I had a baby kitty who was so precious and just sat and watched her littermates play and play. I thought she was just a quiet kitty, but, alas, she ended up dying from a bad heart at 6 weeks old. Very tragic and I'll never forget it. I know everyone says hard panting after lots of play is normal, but it scares me when she does it.
