Subject: Drug to keep an eye on

Hi all!
I just wanted to mention something to those of you who are really on top of
cat health. I work in Medical & Pharmaceuticals.
There is a new oral drug that is approaching hitting the market that is
being
used in humans to stop a form of leukemia in its tracks.
The people in the study were declining after having built up a resistance to
interpheron-alpha.
I don't know if this would be applicable to our babies, but I wanted to
mention it.
Its name is Glivec (Glee-veck) and I don't know if I am allowed to mention
the manufacturer or not, but it's all over their website so it's made by
Novartis.
Keep your ears and eyes open if you hear about any applications in cats.

Rachel
