If they ever find this person I wish someone would do the same to
him.

Sorry just had to express my feeling this kind of stuff makes me
sick when I read what people do to poor little helpless creatures
like stub.

This came through to me on another list and hopefully the whole network of
cat lovers out there can help this little guy out either through their
wallet or through their home. If someone knows of a good home out there
please check out the website listed in message 4 and show this kitty that
there really are good people out there!

Kitten chews off one leg, part of another after being set afire

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A 6-month-old kitten, believed to have been set on fire
with a blowtorch, chewed off a burned front leg and part of a hind leg out
of
pain, say rescuers who named the cat Stubbs.

It took 18 days to capture the wild kitten so he could be treated.

The feral kitten, found in a business district near Harbor Gateway, has been
on intravenous fluids, antibiotics and other medications at a suburban
Woodland Hills veterinarian's office since his capture last week.

Receptionist Cat Fulford said Stubbs needs surgery on what remains of his
legs, and perhaps a prosthetic limb so he can walk. The medical cost could
reach $8,000 and volunteers are trying to raise the money.

A home is also being sought for Stubbs.

Deneen Justice, the San Pedro woman who found Stubbs, said it took rescue
groups and animal control officers 18 days to trap the kitten in a storage
yard near her office.

On April 20, Justice noticed the burns to Stubbs. A foreleg was missing.

"I honestly thought a pit bull nearby had gotten him, but I looked at him
and
thought there's no way a dog could do that," Justice said.
