That sounds about like what Julie (our friend) said.  Our adoption fee at the
humane society (we are in Georgia) is $80 per pet.  That does cover s/n, 1st
shots, rabies vaccine, worming, heartworm test (dogs) or felv test (cats).  
Also, we say it covers "1st shots" but that really means shots to date.  For
instance, we have some 10 week old kittens we have had since birth.  We gave
them their shots at 6 weeks and again at 9 weeks.  If we have them in two
weeks they will get their third set too.  The fee will still be $80.  If a
dog need heartworm TREATMENT or something, that will be provided as well but
the price does not increase.  Julie said the shelters in her area vary the
price per animal depending on how much $ is in them!  I think she is from
Middleton/Middletown...?
