I just love all you people. What a wonderful response for Little Boy's problem, and ultimately mine.
I am almost 100% sure it was the Interferon. I did not give the Interferon today and Little Boy started getting better and better as each hour passed this afternoon and evening. He started to eat in the late afternoon on his own and ate 3 times. At 11:30 PM I again fed him and he ate with gusto. I also gave his insulin shot at that time. My asymptomatic felv+ cat, Peri, has done just fine on Interferon.
I was giving the Interferon around 3:00 PM each day and Little Boy was doing fine until the 5th day. I don't know whether I will go to 3 days on and 3 days off or cut the dose to 1/2 ml 7 days on and 7 days off.
When I spoke to my vet today, she didn't think it was the Interferon or the new insulin. Even though she is a great vet, she just doesn't have research information on Interferon since there is very little actual controlled research.
I just wanted to let you all know that Little Boy is much better. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your responses to me when I needed it so badly today. Thanks so much for the prayers and kisses for Little Boy also. :)
