Jolene,
Yes, I got Zinnie on Nutrical, baby food, boiled chicken, and anything else
I can get him to eat. He is actually looking a little better these days and
is eating some can food on his own. Yippee !
Laverne is doing so-so. Still very swollen. The vet gave her 2 days to 2
weeks to live, and we are now on day six. I guess I am in total denial, but
she doesn't look like she is going to die. Really, she doesn't. I know she
is uncomfortable, but she is still bright-eyed and happy and is still
eating. She just can't move around much. Most of my rescue buddies agree
with the vet that it is wet FIP, but I don't want to accept it. She is on
Predizone and I have also been giving her antibiotics just in case. Hey, at
this point, I'll try anything !! Thanks for the tip on bacterial
peritonitis. I will speak to the vet about it asap.
You know what? Laverne can barely move, but she scared the hell out of me
by jumping on the sofa while I was watching T.V. late last night ! Don't
know how in the world she did it, but obviously she wanted to cuddle really
bad.

WOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!
This has just made my day! What wonderful news!
I've done some reading on the Elisa and IFA tests, and instances of
kittens who
test positive and then test negative happen often. They really are
negative and
the IFA will confirm that. I'd get that IFA just to be sure though.
How's Laverne? Since you've got the other kittens tuning out to be
negative,
ask your vet if she could possibly have something else that mimics
FIP but is
treatable, like bacterial peritonitis. And what about Zinnie? Is
he gaining
any weight?
Did you try Nutrical with him?
I hope you get negative results back for the others, gosh, I am so
happy for
you!
