You all may remember a few months ago when I posted about my old vet in Arlington, TX (same one who tried to euthanize Andy when he first tested positive) and how he basically ripped that stray "wobbly" cat from my sister and killed it b/c he thought it was rabid.
I talked to my sister and she did submit the complaint form to the Texas State Board of Veterinarians and accused him of unethical behavior. They said they received her complaint and are investigating it. They said this is a long process so it will take time, but they will let her know what happens either way. Well, she has obviously switched vets since then. She was not sure what all Fisher had been vaccinated for or if he had been FIV/Felv tested so the new vet asked her to get his records from this a-hole vet. She called, not telling them who she was, and they told her that due to circumstances beyond their control, no patient records could be released at the current time! She told them who she was and the girl went silent. She waited a second and then said that Leah's records had been confiscated by the investigators. So she has driven by several times the past 3 weeks and said it is just dead in the parking lot. ! ! So, I don't know what is going on exactly, but even if nothing happens I feel pretty darn good about this. At the very least he will have this incident in the back of his mind the next time he is in such a situation. I would hope he would not be able to practice, but we'll see. Just wanted to let ya know!
