Nikki,

I give you alot of credit it's a tough task you have taken on.
Do you have pictures on your site of the felv cats up for adoption?

Maybe you can put them on the felv site for adoption.

Carla

Niki,

You have my admiration as I could not do what you do. It must be extremely
stressful for you to keep losing kitties so often. It nearly destroyed me
to lose three in ten months, only one to feleuk.

Are you able to provide interferon for these kitties? I know that I
couldn't afford it for that many. Might it be better to have fewer cats and
be able to provide for the meds that might prolong their lives? I'm not
suggesting that you get rid of those you have, but maybe you should not take
in any more.

Since I don't know your circumstances, I am only speculating.

Sharon

Hi all, I've really been lurking for most of the time
being so busy full time work and full time school. I
need to write this down and perhaps ask for support.

I don't know if I can do this anymore. I have 30
felv+ and 3 of them are symptomatic and scheduled for
the bridge soon (one tomorrow). It's so hard.... I
just lost 2 last month (Treycee and Charlie). Now
it's Sushi, Washington and 8mo Boris. It gets harder
each time and I'm wondering if I'm doing good or if I
make things worse because I have so many and the
stress is killing them. I have a big house and they
seem content. Just a few spats here and there but
nothing major. This weekend, I'm getting another 4mo
kitten from a rescue. It seems that every time
another call comes in, I seem to lose one to make
room. Is it my imagination? I try my best but it
doesn't seem enough.

If I do continue, I need to go non-profit but I don't
know how difficult that is. Perhaps one of you has
gone through the process and can advise me? I need to
raise funds as everything comes out of my pocket right
now.

Any words of encouragement would be helpful. I'm
about ready to give up.

Thanks for listening.
Dominique (aka Niki)
