Denise, I'm so sorry for your loss. You were privileged to have Laverne, even if the time was short. Your sweet memories of her will live as long as you do.

Sometime between 10:00 p.m. when I gave her last treat and kissed her goodnight and midnight when I woke up suddenly with a strong urge to check on her. I rushed to her room and there she was "peacefully sleeping", so I thought. But her body position was odd, so I went to tuck her front leg back into position and it was then I realized she was gone. I buried her in the back yard this morning. My sons Anthony and Ryan said a beautiful prayer for her. She was the first of the litter to cross the bridge and is survived by her 3 brothers Carmine, Lenny and Squiggy, and her adoptive brother Zinnie and the rest of my kitties who all loved her dearly. I am thankful for the last three weeks I had with her since the vet first diagnosed her with FIP. I wouldn't trade those precious days for anything in the world and I'm glad I did not put her to sleep back then as the vet advised. But now I okay with it, because God has called for her. Sleep softly, my little Laverne. Denise
