appetite stimulants/luke update

Hi all.  I'm really behind in my mail, AGAIN, thanks to the flu, yuk!  At least I'm hoping that's what's making me so sick.  Luke seems to be improving with his new treatment course, the prednisone and the pepsid are making quite a difference in the evenings.  He's bright eyed, playful, and getting into things again.  I wish we could make the switch from the dex in the morning to pred. faster, but unfortunately we've got to take it slow.  There's only one worry that I have.  His appetite has dropped tremendously.  He will barely eat a few bites of food...  Taking him off the cyproheptadine was one of the best things we could have done - it's very apparent that it was one of the main reasons as to why he was feeling so uncomfortable and lethargic.  But now he won't eat!  I gave him the cypro yesterday morning and ! all day he felt horrible...  He ate, but I don't want to keep giving him that stuff...  Does anyone know what else we can use as an appetite stimulant that will work and NOT make him feel so icky?
