Hello,
Quick question, hope someone may
be able to help. We just had a little old lady come in today with her cat
that is felv +. She is willing to do any/everything for this cat. He
has had recurring problems with weight loss, lethargy and anorexia. After
running the third Felv test it came back a weak positive. He has been
tested for everything else and other than a slightly high WBC, all else is
normal. I am currently having her give Interferon 7 days on/7 days off.
Given the situation (cat still anorexic and not acting like self, and she wants
a better, happier cat...) I am wondering if Immunoregulin can be given
concurrently with the Interferon? Has anyone had experience doing
this? I am the one at the vet hospital most educated on Felv treatments
and protocols and have not had to address this before but would like to do so,
so that this kitty can have the best shot at some sustained, quality lifespan,
for both himself and the widower that revolves her life around
him...
Thanks for the response...
Emily
