As for nuetering and calming down. If there is a female in heat not much is gonna help and this is the season. You may try one of the Bach rememdies for it don't know if it will help. As for the neutering is Chappy really jumpy? I ask this I don't know if I would do this or not. But my vet along time ago when I was rescuing cats from the wild we were talking about appointments and he told me that you could give them a local and almost do it. It is so fast and easy of a operation. I am not sure how fast I have heard it is a few minutes for a male but you may ask you vet if he ever heard of it.
