It's too bad more organizations like Operation Kindness (they DO have paypal) don't know that they can accept contributions thru Paypal.com for a small percentage.  Paypal.com's great!

One of our smallest local org.s does that, Helping Hands for Little Paws (www.helpinglittlepaws.com/).  The biggest, Pulaski Co. Humane Society (http://www.warmhearts.org ), does not have a method of accepting online contributions yet, neither does our local Care for Animals ( http://www.careforanimals.org) (least not that I could find).

I think in that part I was refering to Pam's foster dog.  She posted about her a LONG time ago and I couldn't believe she wasn't adopted already.  I had assumed she was since I hadn't seen a post from Pam since then.

As for your shelter, stick with it!  Operation Kindness (our shelter) was just a little group of people working out of a dump of a shelter in Garland, Texas.  Through lots of hard work from staff and volunteers, and a few (ok, one) VERY generous donator, we now have an awesome facility in Carrollton TX.   I have posted the link before, but we are at www.operationkindness.org if you want to check it out!  When I moved to Georgia in August 1999 the shelter was still in Garland.  When I moved back in August 2001, they had moved to the new place.  It shows you what can be done in as little as 2 years!
