Well, seems like I've seen several homeopathic remedies aimed toward kitties who mark.  But this is what wholisticanimal.com says:

Cats & dogs that have a 'habit' of 'wetting' or marking inside house all the time (if it has just started though, your cat maybe emotionally upset and letting you know, or perhaps has a urinary infection(see Cystitis)
But if it is just a habit of marking inside as a anxiety problem try - Dose with Ignatia 30X. Dose daily for 7 days.

Hi all.  A co-worker just told me that they are having an issue w/ their cat.  The cat belonged to her roommate who moved to Hawaii.  Robin (co-worker) and her finacee just bought a house and agreed to take Ezra (cat).  Well, Ezra has started peeing and pooping in the dining room.  He only does it when they are not looking, and does continue to use his litterbox which Robin has been frantically washing out daily.  A trip to the vet has ruled out health problems.

She said it was just in the dining room and had just started when they moved.  After more prodding (the more I do rescue the more I am able to pull info from people) she acknowledged that he did do it one time while she was still in her apartment right after the roommate left.  And he has done it once in the livingroom at the new house.  When they are actively watching him he is fine, but she said if you take your eyes off him for an instant, he pees.  They have tried the water bottle and a jar of pennies, but it hasn't worked.  It's been 2 months.  Her vet told her to put him in the bathroom (smallest room in the house) w/ just his litterbox and food/water for 2 weeks.  Only let him out when he is being supervised.  He is otherwise eating fine and still very affectionate.  Obviously this is behavioral and he is upset.  She did say the people they bought the house from had a dog, so that could be upsetting him.  But he did do it once in the apartment BEFORE he was in that ho!
use.  I told her that the first thing is to get every bit of the smell up.  They are renting a steam cleaner this weekend and getting Natures Miracle.  Last night, right when she let him out, he ran to the dining room and urinated.  He HAD used his box during the day in the bathroom though.  It is just odd.  her fiancee said he is "gone at the end of the 2 weeks if that doesn't work."  Any advice?  If they take him to a shelter, he will be PTS.  I told her if they won't tolerate his behavior and they are attached to him, what makes her think anyone else will?  All this is doing is upsetting her though b/c she doesn't want to give up on him.  Any advice?

Thanks!
