pam, I found some spare time today and decided to
try uploading some pixs and used yahoo. It took me
maybe half an hour. It is very easy to use, just go
to yahoo, click on photos and follow instructions
and instinct. GOOD LUCK!

BTW, if anybody is interested, you can see part of
our family at

http://photos.yahoo.com/macarenacats

then click on the family folder.

I didn't have enough patience to fix the texts, so
in a summary the family history is the following:

Kurt arrived when we first moved into the house 6
years ago. He was 6 months old and was borned in a
friend's house, but lived in the garden and was
almost never petted. He became our child, and lived
happily until we found a small and thin russian blue
at the campus, (we were students still at the art
school). He came home with us and was named Gunther.
I regret very much not having any pictures of him.
He was gorgeous, and ate like a horse, and quickly
became FAT. He didn't bother to run or play, he only
rolled over on the floor. After the obvious fight
they became very close, until one day they were
playing on the street and Gunther couldn't run and
was hit by a car. I felt really guilty, and still
feel that way when I remember. He was only 7 months
old and on a diet when he died. He is buried under
an orange tree in the garden, and from that day on
Kurt started staying in the house every possible minute.

A couple of years later, I was walking back home
from work and a small kitten with enormous eyes
climbed over my coat and I was in love at the spot.
We thought it was a boy, but Kurt reacted strangely,
and we feared, until the vet confirmed she was a
girl, Cuini. Extremely adorable, and expert in human
manipulation. Just like Nermal in Garfield. We
separated them until we decided what to do, and
finally I decided we wanted kittens, so they spent a
night together and after some time, on Halloween of
1998, 5 beautiful kittens were born at my feet while
working at the computer. They were Raptor, Veloz,
Malaquias, Suki and Truco. Malaquias went to a
friend's house and lives a very happy life indoors,
but some times I feel he has forgotten he is a cat.
Raptor died at 8 months by a car, and my heart still
bleeds for him. He was twin brother with veloz, they
were ALWAYS together, and after his death Veloz
became very weak. Veloz, Suki, and Truco stayed with
us. When they were 1 year old we found at the campus
an orange kitten, very small with a great
personality. He was Tofu. He is 3 years old now, and
has developed a rare attitude. We said 6 was
enough,....until I found Tabata and her litter in an
abandoned house on my way to work. I fed them for 2
months, until I quit my job and decided to take them
with me. 4 days before rescuing them, Negro, the
boy, was hit by a car. So only Tabata and Xica made
it. Thay spent 3 weeks living in the garden, hidden
betwwen the plants, very scared, We had to leave
food hidden between the leaves so they could eat.
After a while Xica, who was 3 months old came down
fronm the wall, and started coming into the house.
When she learned how to use the cat door, she went
to her mother and pushed her down and taught her how
to come into the house. It was a really amazing
thing. Now Tabata loves to sleep on our bed with us
and never stops purring. Xica is 18 months old now.

Last October somebody abandoned two kittens by our
front door. Our neighbor found them, and kept one
for her and said she couldn' take the other one, so
we kept her. She is Fauna. Lovely, and very playful.
She loves to run with the toilet paper on her mouth,
so you can imagine what kind of mess we have found
sometimes. On Feb. I found Greta, but I already
share that story with the list, and this has gotten
much longer than I intended. The last arrivel was
Chinese, a story I wrote about two days ago I think.

You will find photos of everyone, except truco and
chinese. I will load some in some days and let you know.

thank you for your patience!!
