Hi Jean,

I'm sorry to be so late, but wanted to let you know you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping your mother's recovery goes well. My grandfather had a fairly severe stroke at about age 75 and has recovered and is still doing well at 85.... I'm sure her therapy will go well, but I know it's hard work for everyone involved.

take care.

Jamie,

If the photos didn't work, maybe I could ask my vets to total up how much
money it cost me over the 6 years.... (However, I think I'll have her send
it directly to you, I really don't want to know I could have been driving a
Ferrari...)

Thanks to everyone who has asked about my mother. She's coming along,
according to the doctors and nurses, about as could be expected. It's
tough, tho, to see a strong, independent care-giver-type reduced to needing
to be fed and washed and watched constantly so she won't try to get up and
fall again....

Pa and I are holding on, my brother from Florida is here now, so that helps.
And my other brother will be here Friday. And they're already talking about
transferring her to a rehab facility to start therapy. So that's good, and
we're optimistic.
