Good point!  I've done that too - and the Friskies pouches that have lots of juice.  Sometimes my CRF Nicky still licks the juice off of the Nutro Lamb and Turkey and leaves the lumps ("cutlets").

Yes, and if you mash the "meat" with a fork and few drops of water, that "gravy" goes farther.

Last week my Effie would not eat for two days after her spay but would lick "turkey broth" (baby meat with water) fm a spoon.  Every 30 minutes I presented this soup on a spoon until she ate on her own.
