Just a suggestion~~~this is what I do. I mix the scooping and non-scooping litters. It gives depth to the litter, so it doesn't actually reach the bottom before the Tidy Cat clumps it, yet the box is deep enough for them to scratch. Seems to work around here. I have 6 boxes, and it does get expensive, so that helps the cost too. Nancy and her MC
