Gloria, all of us who have fed ferals, or who have lost pets and never again find them know how you feel. But PLEASE, don't feel guilty, you helped him have a better life, he counted on you, it is a pity he didn't want to be touched, but you did all you could. During my childhood and teen years I had several cats, who stayed a few years and then misteriously dissapeared or died for irresponsible decisions made by my parents, who were not animal people at all. Actually I left home because I wanted to live with a cat I had rescued, so I went to live by my own near the sea, until miss Pepper decided she wanted her independence too and left me, and I came back to the city. She taught me so many things! I only wish I knew one third of what I know now, probably she would still be with me.Sorry, I am loosing the point. My point is you are a wonderful person and I am sure MGK knew that and was thankful for the food you provided. An enormous hug for you!
