Thanks, Denise. I like the idea of him being able to fly around on wings wherever he wants. Maybe they get their claws back when they cross the bridge. No way is easy - illness is stressful for you and them, sudden loss is a shock for you, but I think, as you say, easier on them because it's probably quick. But you hate that you weren't there to hold them when they have to go suddenly and you're not around.
