Hello,
I need to vent a little. At the rescue group I
belong to, I'm responsible for rescuing little dogs. Today I rescued
a little Maltese. This is the third bishon rescue in three
months. I thought I would get a regular drop off but instead I saw
one of the most neglected little dogs I have ever seen. She really
looked like she was from a puppy mill. Anyway, I brought her to the
vet when the people left. She was bleeding from the tail (she
mutilates herself), she has an abscess and has dermatitis and
seborrhea. In 6 years these people never treated her tail or washed
her. She never saw a vet and has never been brushed. Her long
hair was full of mats growing all the way to the ground...I couldn't see
her face at first because the fur was all matted and her eyes were
infected. After all these years of rescuing it never seizes to amaze
me the cruelty and heartlessness some people have or other living
beings. How can anyone look at the poor dog and not want to help
her with her discomfort?. When I carried her home she was
bleeding. She is biting herself and everyone around her.
You know what they asked me to do? To take a picture of the
dog and their son together because he was really sad. They were
lucky that the children were there because otherwise I would've told
them off. I made them give a donation to the organization!
It's the least they can do especially because all the vet bills comes from
my own pocket. Thanks for letting me vent. I'm feeling better
now...sigh...
