Jamie, Gosh sorry to hear about that. I have no kids and don't intend to so maybe I don't understand the youths of today. But in my mind I am so tired of revolving things around the kids.
I am older than you and I know my parents did a lot with me as a kid but there were times when I had to find things to do myself and not everything my parents did involved me. I see all my neighbors running around taking kids here there and everywhere and as for 9-11 my mom is right get over it as for meaning with kids. They keep saying how you have to talk to your kids and let them know it's been a year let's not harp on this. I also think this thing about talking to your kids and not to spank ever is a joke too. I can't tell you how annoying it is when I child is pulling a fit at the bank kicking and yelling and stomping and all the mom did was look imbarrest and said "Oh stop that ...... " the kid didn't. I think the problem is at times kids need more than a little talk. Or they will do it again! Like those boys with the cat, I think they would be wrong not putting them into jail. Maybe not as long as I would like to see (being an animal person) but I think putting these kids in for a month would let them know that this is not acceptable and would set an example maybe to other kids that hurting animal is not something that is taken lightly. Set an example to others forget this "there being kids" stuff. This is my opinion and maybe I am out of line since I don't have kids but I don't think anyone should have to inconvience for someone's kids just being kids. Carla
