Dear Gloria,
I know, I know....it's so hard at times like this to
NOT get frustrated; I'm so glad we are here for you to
share your feelings.
The intermittent fever is a little odd; could it be
that he has some low-grade thing going on that he's
able to stay on-top of most days, but, if he has
something else going on (tummy issues?) he can't
manage to keep the fever at bay? As long as it's not
high or consistent, it may not be cause for worry
since it is the body's way to trying to control
infection.
I could just smooch him! He looks very brave with his
little bandaged leg! The roll of paper towels was a
great idea! I'll have to remember that, but NEVER use
it on Wingtip whose greatest joy in life is to find an
unguarded roll, attack it, and shread it to bits in
the time it takes to blink an eye!
I know this is prob! ably a bit loony, but how is he in
water? I actually have had a couple of cats who
either LIKE it, or at least tolerate it. I'm thiking
a warm bath might be comforting and allow him some
movement without strain on the leg. Or, maybe a
heating pad on low?
You're both in my thoughts and prayers and you both
just keep hanging in there!
Love, Julie
