MBK was "slightly positive" for ringworm, although I never saw it on him, when he had demodectic mange, and the vet said it was probably related to his poor immune system. He never "broke out" with it and got over the mange. Course I had ringworm when I was 12 and had a great immune system!

Hi Susan, thanks for the response. Do you know how ringworm is transmitted? Ezra is actually an only child & she hasn't been around any cats for at least the past year, other than in passing at the vet. There were two cats in the apartment before she moved-in, although they were out before she got there. One briefly had flatworm, although he recieved treatment & a visiting kitten could have possibly had anything. Does anyone know how long these parasites can live in the carpet or house? Thanks so much.
