YAY!!!!!  At least now you know what is going on and it's possible to treat lymphoma successfully.  And what about a great attitude on that vet!!!!  Give that man a hug

It is SSOOOOOOOOOO nice to have a vet with a positive attitude about a FeLV+ kitty especially when dealing with something like lymphoma!

Give Franklin a headbutt and kiss from me and my boys!

and here's a big hug for you and your hubby <<<<<<<<<<<<HUG>>>>>>>>>>>>

Hi, wonderful friends!

I don't know if the news is really good, but I'm going to be as positive as
I can. Franklin has lymphoma. We met with the specialist this afternoon
and also visited Franklin.

The oncologist started him on chemo while we were there. He will stay
tonight and be observed to see how he does. The oncologist was optimistic.
He gave him a 75 to 90% chance of going into remission. He thought that he
might have a year or a year and a half before some other complication of
FeLV does him in. Dr. Hamilton's experience is that even FeLV+ kitties can
go into remission and he didn't even hint that his status might not make it
worth while to treat him. Dr. Hamilton said that they rarely die of
lymphoma in his experience, but that something else inevitably surfaces. I
prayed for some time and maybe will have it. Praise God.

The happ! iest thing was the visit with sweet Franklin. He was no longer
suffering; he could breathe freely. He has shaved sides from the taps on
both sides to drain the fluid but he looked perfect to me. He purred and
rubbed me and my husband. It was hard to have to leave him again, but I
hope we can get him in the morning after Dr. Hamilton does rounds.

I am certain that all of your healing vibes and prayers have helped
Franklin. We may not have him long, but we will love him as hard as we can
for as long as God allows.

God bless all of you and your furkids.

Sharon
