Anyway, I just saw your message about the vaccine. I wasn't "recommending" anything - just wanted to remind that the vaccine existed and if anyone wants to mix FIV pos. with negs. or leuk pos. they might want to consider vaccinating the negs. at least. Presumably any "false negatives" wouldn't be an issue if they were your own cats - you'd surely know their status before vaccinating them. It would only present a problem, perhaps, if you were to later adopt out a cat vaccinated against FIV, but even that problem would be minimized by providing the adopter with a full health record indicating that the cat had been vaccinated against FIV. Of course, most people probably would want to bother because of the cost of three shots, etc., etc., but maybe some will.
