I recently joined the Holisticat list and I was
looking at the site of Dr. Jean Hofve who was
referenced in a post:

and here is a quote from one of her articles regarding
feeding:
'Change brands or flavors of dry food every three to
four months to avoid deficiencies or excesses of
ingredients, which may be problematic for your
animal.'
I wonder if that's what's happening with my tribe and
the Eagle Pack? Last year it happened after 8-10
weeks of feeding and this time at about 10-12 weeks.
I had never heard this before and in fact, have read
the exact opposite, where consistency is touted as
being the only way to go.
I think I have a clue....I was going to switch anyway
(even if it is just a coincidence) so, now I have some
kind of supportive information.
