I know! I wish I had thought of it. Last time my vet gave me a little container of things that were basically the same thing. And I mean it was the size of like a large medicine bottle... not very big at all. The beads didn't even cover the bottom of the box. It took forever and Bob was desperate before he went in there. lol... Next time I'm buying my own! I can't remember if I was charged for the ones from the vet. If I was it was a lot I'm sure.

What a awsome and creative idea! I would have, never
in a million years, ever thought of collecting a urine
specimen in this fashion. Honestly, this is really
cool, not to mention, helpful! Thanks!

I use 100% polypropolene beads. I get either
a one pound or two pound bag (can't remember the
weight for sure) for $2.97 at Walmart. They are in
the crafts section. I use two to three bags in the
litter box. You can suck up the urine in a syringe.
Then you can rinse the beads in a large kitchen
strainer, let them dry and reuse them.
