How horrible of that vet!! She should be reported. It is people like her that give the "no hope" outlook for animals with illnesses. It is because of people like her that so many are euthanized for no reason. I am glad that you followed your instincts and that Daisie is doing so well. I don't know how the medications would react, fortunately I haven't had to have much expierience in medications, but I know you will get the answer here. I hope that Daisie continues to do well and I hope that that vet is removed from practice. If she were a people doctor, she would be sued and ran out of the state!! Sorry for venting, I am very sensitive about vets like that, we have a few around here.

Hi guys,I don't know if you guys remember the pack of animals I rescued from Georgia over the holidays? Anyway, most of them got adopted but one of them remained with me. The little cat Daisie was boarde at the vet and received every test available and also was vaccinated. I was told by the vet that she was "healthy" When I went to get these animals in the US I realised she was not well. She seemed dehydrated and too thin. Over the past two months we tried to fatten her up. She seemed to start getting better and would even sleep in our bed along side many other furballs.A few days ago, I got back from a business trip after being away for a few weeks and noticed she had lost weight. The very next day she started vomitting, diarhea and trembling. The vet said she felt a mass in her abdomen the size of her kidney and recommended that we euthanize her. She felt that x-ray and a biopsy at this point was not going to help her as it was too late. I was very upset and agreed to euthanize her. But I wanted her to first sedate Daisie before the "next step" She looked at me funny. Anyway, I went to the resting room and wanted to spend my last moments with Daisie. I was also waiting for my boyfriend to get to the clinic to say his goodbyes. While waiting there the vet kept popping in and asking me if they can "start" some of the procedures in the meantime that I was waiting. I said no that I wanted my boyfriend to see her the way she is now before doing anything. She kept trying to convince me and I said are you in a rush or something? She replied that her shift was over and she wanted to get this done on time....Well, too bad. Anyway, my boyfriend arrived and I felt uneasy about the whole thing and he said we would take Daisy home and let her have a couple of days of loving before euthanizing her. I decided to have her on a small dosage of morphine and a home vet would come to our home to put her to sleep.Surprisingly enough, since we brought her home she has gotten "better". She is chasing one of our rescue dogs, her spirits are up and she is eating again. Today she ate 4 small portions of chicken which is her favorite. We are also giving her a dietary supplement called xtralife and I am giving her Dr.Reckeweg R17, ultra potent-C powder, and omega 10.
I have also heard of a product called Ezzaic Blend that is supposed to help as well. But I also have morphine prescribed for Daisie and although we haven't needed to use it yet since we brought her home, how will that interact with the Ezzaic Blend? I am not too familiar with this product but have heard so many good things about is in terms of fighting cancer. Any suggestions? As long as Daisie seems to want to live (not suffering) and be with us, I will certainly do whatever we can. I don't know if any of these products will help her but it is worth a try. We are also getting a second opinion on Friday. Can we also add Daisie to the get well part of the Monday candle service? Thanks,Amber
