Subject: Daisie
Hi everyone,
I have some good news...I
brought Daisie to the vet yesterday and she gained half a pound. Her
lump shrank and there is more definition to it. Its narrow when you feel
it.
Originally, we had
her on R17 and it improved her overall health (also supplements). She
gained about a pound and than when we decided to approach conventional
medicine and she was put on predisone. We were worried about the
predisone as her liver started to show some damage. But we decided to
gamble and with the predisone and R17 it stimulated her appetite to the
point where she would wake me up a couple of times in the middle of the night
to eat. She was so obsessed, I decided to stop the R17 and just try
the predisone. Her appetite was more regular.
So from 5.2 lbs she is
now 7 lbs :) her breathing is better and she hasn't shown signs of
nausia. We have another two months on predisone and hopefully will
shrink the lump even more.
Her initital felv/fiv
test showed that she was negative but my vet thinks she may be positive for
felv as Lymphoma is common in cats with felv...especially her type of
lymphoma.
oh well, so if she is,
she is!
