Supposedly the virus is very fragile outside the host and only lives a few minutes. If you changed water, etc.... it 'should' be ok.
To be on the safe side though, I personally would wait till my other cats had their shots and boosters if necessary. I would then wait 3 weeks on top of that to make sure they've had time to take full effect.

Hi,
I have my + cat in a different room, and i was wondering, if i let him be in the rest of the house, while the other cats go to a different room, do i have to spray anything down, i know to put away the food dishes, but i was worried about anything else i should do.
My other cats are getting their shots on payday, and then i won't worry AS MUCH, i let my cat Tigger sleep in my room with my + cat, but i'm not worried about that, because they don't like each other anyway, so they never lick each other, and i put away my + cats food, and litter box where he can get to it. My cat Tigger doesn't use a litter box if another cat already peed in it, so its easier with him, but my cat Precious DOES like Tochet...my + kitty, and vice versa, so i do! n't let them sleep together. After i get her shots, i will let her see him every once in awhile...with supervision.
So far my + kitty is doing great, he is eating like a piggy, playing with toys, and attacking the screen when he sees a bird fly by! LOL
I've been giving him his meds, and hopefully around Aug 1st, when i get him retested, i'll get some good news!
Thanks for the advice everyone!
Yvonne
