Quick note on Kaeopectate! I have an 18+ year old fellow that has absorption problems and has been on & off it, as needed, for a long time. The dose would depend on the weight. My old man is about 6 lbs., and gets 1cc, 2-3 times a day. It usually stops in about 48 hours.
WARNING: The "new improved" Kaeopectate has salicylates. I've had to switch over to a store brand (Walgreens) in order to get one that is "Alcohol & Salicylate Fee". Be sure to read the label.
BUT, I would not try & stop the diarrhea without knowing what is causing it. Your best bet is to find a vet that will do a fecal for you. A fecal is very inexpensive.
