refilling plastic water jugs (did anyone else hear this?) and that they aren't meant to be reused and that chemicals can leach out of the plastic.  So, I stopped my trips to the local spring for their water and called about home delivery of spring water, got busy at work and never followed up.

Water in plastic jugs - yes the petroleum chemicals leech out into the water and it does not matter if it is first purchase or reuse, distilled or spring.  Any food, especially liquids, absorb those chemicals.  Even home delivery brings the water in plastic.  The soft plastic is the worst.  Of all the wonderful uses of plastic, I sure wish glass was back.  My stomach knows when it's been in plastic and tells me about it - I feel icky and queasy.

I run the tap water through the Brita (NCI) filter and store it glass bottles (quite a challenge to find nowadays).
