I have been gone a while, hospitalized for the past month. Things are not well, I lost the house and the rescue all negative cats were moved to other rescues. the financial demand was too much in this economy and my health is not well. I still have 4 positives, Magic being 14 and fiv positive not doing well, please keep him in your prayers. I will continue positive rescue, but I will not attempt opening another shelter until I have financial backers. The good news is that I am gonna start attending an on line vet school and the closing of my shelter will again give me the time to concentrate solely on my positive babes. I am located in Texas and will launch an educational program for local guardians and rescues on the myths of Fiv and Felv.
I am sad but have to remember all the wonderful orphans that have been saved that would have otherwise perished! in the local pounds. I will look into funding and see if in the distant future another shelter would be possible. Nikki has been a real inspiration to me the past few years and I want to do special needs rescue only the next time. Her Running that positive rescue in NJ, makes her a special saint. Should anyone need assistance in the DFW for positives please do not hesitate to contact me.
I would like to offer my prayers to all whom have lost fur kids the past month.
Can anyone update me on the feline interferon saga? I am really far behind.
