Sorry Nancy, It was the wrong advice I was given from the vet clinic here in Canada, when I called back and spoke to another Doctor he told me that it was the human form of interferon, and apologized for the mistake.

The Schering Company, told me that they only make an Interferon product for human consumption. In fact there isnt any pharmaceutical company in North America that manufactures an Interferon for felines product. However an Australian company called Virbac has introduced a very new Interferon medication targeted directly at cats in injection form but it is only available in Europe. Furthermore there are no current plans to get approval for this drug in North America and it is unlikely to be available in Canada/USA for at least a few years if at all.

It is so disappointing for all of us with felv fur babies, my own hopes had hit the roof, who knows with God's help something will come up.

God Bless,
Liz

Thanks, Susan, that answers the question. Not the
preferred way, of course. Oh well, patience. It'll get
here eventually, I suppose. I wonder why it's so easy to get stuff, "illegal"
drugs, from Canada, and so impossible from other
coutries?Luv, Nancy and her MC
