Hi Gloria

I'm glad to see you got through it.  I hope that Nicky repounds quickly and that his problem was just from your being gone.  Years ago, when I had a diabetic cat, he used to go into diabetic crisis every time I boarded him or had someone give him his food and meds unless I left him at the vet (he loved the vet!).  We think he wouldn't eat unless we were home or he was at the vet.  We learned quickly to leave him at the vet or not at all!

Where there's life, there's hope.

Thanks, Kathy - and everyone!!!! I'm back in Arkansas. It's been truly excrutiating, but I'm healing. Been thru my sisters sickness and death, part of it in the Bronx, 2 memorial services and a burial, and I'm very glad to be back home.
All my kitties were generously and well cared for by wonderful friends. Ahhhh. But Nicky, the 18.5 yr old one, seemed to go down hill just a bit, but is popping back, I hope. He's got some mouth problems, and since it's October and the weather is dry, he is a bit dehydrated. I am giving him aloe vera, lysine and vit C - also Baytril, and sub-q.
Any suggestions for the mouth problems? Looks like a tooth is irritating the upper gums.. Vet says it can't be removed...
