Hi Julie,
Simba was tested twice for Feline Leukemia through
blood tests. Both were negative. The vet at the hospital did say
there is a possibility that he is having a relapse from the last time. It's
possible the prednisone was stopped too abruptly. He should have been
weaned off of it slowly. I am praying that that is the case. If his
hematocrit level goes up today, then that means his bone marrow is
producing red blood cells, if not, then there is definately something else going
on. Something that needs to be checked in the marrow. All I can do
is pray. He is such a strong little kitty.
