sorry you had to find this list, but.....with my FeLV+ babies, i have learned so much here.  now, if one of mine crashed w/low RBC, i would have him/her checked for hemobartenalla (?) and also i would have the vet do a simple blood test (methyl blue stain??) to see if there are any new RBCs being made.  IF it's hemobart and new RBCs are being made, treatment may be able to restore the RBCs.  when no new RBCs are being made, it is much graver.  the labored breathing is not good, but some people here have had their babies rebound with the right care, love, and prayer. good luck. tracy [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hello my name is Cherri and my daughter Beth's cat Errol crashed this weekend and was diagnosed with feline Leukemia.  His hemocrit was 12% yesterday and the vet was quite grim and recommended euth.  He was still very responsive and eating ect so I decided to bring him home.  We were giving Ped vitamins and an antibiotic for him.  I have been in contact wth a local Homeopathic vet who wants to see him tonight. I dont think he is in any pain, can someone clairify that for me if possible?  He has severe anemia and that is what basically we are battling at the moment......say a prayer please for my Beth, we have lost too many pets over the last 3 yrs, one was just 11 mths ago (18 mth old dog to sudden cardiac arrest) and this is just tearing her apart.  I just couldnt put him down yesterday, he was not ready :( Cherri
