Brenda,

I am so sorry Midnight lost his fight with this disease.  He had your love and tender care and now he is romping once again with many other furry friends.

Hugs,
Del

Subject: Midnight's gone

I just wanted you all to know that Midnight lost his battle with this
dreadful disease tonight about 9:30.  We tried the best we could to get him
to eat tonight, but he just refused & gagged.  His breathing was getting
very labored again & he just didn't have enough energy to fight it off any
longer.  I'm writing this through tears.  We just finished burying him under
a tree in our back yard.  His sisters & mom had to witness the death.
Hopefully, they didn't understand what was going on.  It was pretty awful.
I couldn't bear to watch myself.  Anyway..he's at peace & away from this
awful leukemia thing.  He had 8 good months on earth romping with his
sisters & mom & living the carefree life in our garage.

I'm pretty devastated because I thought I could save him.  There's so much I
don't know about this leukemia.  I feel he didn't have much of a chance. I
think his heart just failed.  Is this a normal thing with the FeLV+ kitties?

I can't write anymore.  I'm just drained.

Please add him to the Candle Light service for Monday & keep his sisters &
mom in your prayers.
