OK..mona is doing great from her abortion/spay...BUT friday night..the same day as her spay...I checked on her..it was about 10 pm....her left ear was HUGE...red and swollen, hot. It felt kind of fluidy..but not like it was full of puss or anything. I took her to the vet saturday morning around 8 and by then the tip opf it had started to curl in on itself,and dry out..while the rest was still really swollen and red....also on the inside of her ear, was now a raw spot..open, but not oozing anything..All of us are kind of confused..best we can guess is she got bit by a spider?...or something....so we go to just use neosporin..+...and also she is on torb for the surgery.......well today( sunday) it is WAY worse still..the tip of her ear is black and curled and dried out...(I think she is going to loose it...like it is looking like it is going to fall off..) while the rest of her ear is huge, hot,and red still. So I called Dr B back and she called in some oral doxycilcline,and some triamciniclone cream for it...we are both still puzzled as to what is going on.....
Has anyone every had anything similar happen..or know what is going on? I am worried it is like a bit form a brown recluse or some realloy nasty spider.....we are in NC so it is possible.....but God..on top of her..what if that thiing is still in my house!!!....I dont want her, or us, or any of the other animals( esspecially Akira!!!) getting bitten and having to go through this any more!!!....
Any suggstions as to what is going on..or other things to try would be greatly appreciated.....
