Dear Deanne: It is difficult to decide how long to keep trying to help a kitty who is crashing, and when to let them go. Sometimes you know when the time is right from the way the kitty is behaving or looking at you. But, I will say it has been much easier for me to let them go when that time comes since I have been working with an animal communicator. I ask each kitty how he/she feels about the situation and whether or not he/she is willing to keep trying and will accept more treatment, or if he/she has decided it is time for his/her spirit to leave a failing body. I also ask if he/she wants my help in crossing or if he/she wants to cross over on his/her own.
I've worked with more than one animal communicator and have found not all are created equal. Some have the ability just to communicate and some have added talents in the way of being able to do "energy work" or are intuitive in locating the source of a problem. One I've worked with over the past two years who specializes in cats and with whom I've had very good results is Jasmine Indra. She now lives in Maine, so depending on where you live there may be a time difference. Her home phone is (207) 443-1125 and if you need to reach her urgently, her cell phone is (510) 325-2062. Her website is: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Jasmine is skilled in the Yuen Method of energetic healing, as well as being able to communicate psychically. It doesn't really matter where the AC is located, but if you would feel more comfortable using one who is closer to your area so you don't have to make a long distance call, you can do a websearch for Animal Communicators. Another listmember, Lisa, in North Carolina, ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) mentioned a group with Yahoo, I believe, for amateur animal communicators that has a few members who are pros. I would have to search back through my saved email to find the info so you might get more immediate feedback by contacting her directly about that. Some very well known communicators are very expensive but others are quite reasonable. An average call of 30 min. is no more expensive than an average visit to a vet and probably less. Knowing that I do rescue work and have very limited means, Jasmine has been most gracious and helped me at a greatly reduced rate (even no charge) when I've had to say goodbye to one of my furkids. I feel the money I've spent on animal communicators has often been more worthwhile than what I learn about my crashing kittys from taking them to a vet. All those expensive diagnostics may help you pin-point the problem, but it doesn't tell you whether or not the kitty is willing to keep fighting to get well with your help, or would rather you just let him/her go. I do hope you find someone who can help you communicate with your kitty who is sick and get some answers that will help you make the right decision for your kitty's sake. It has certainly been helpful for me and I think others might suffer a lot less anguish if they would communicate with their kittys and honor their wishes. Cats don't necessarily see things the way we do. They are very spiritual and wise creatures. Most of them are much more willing to leave a body that is no long able to nourish their spirit well...they do not cling to this corporeal life so tenaciously the way we humans do. They are much more accepting and more willing to move on and do not see death as such a final thing. One of my kittys did not understand why I was so anguished over her wanting to leave, she told me she would still be with me in spirit, so why was I so torn up about her wanting to leave a body that was failing her? She said she liked being a cat and might decide to come back as a cat again. She had very much resented my forcing treatment on her and told me so...in the end she let me know I was forgiven and it helped me immensely to be able to make peace with her before she crossed over. If I could choose between winning the lottery and being able to communicate psychically with my critters, I would choose the latter in a heartbeat. Take care...I'll be keeping you and your kitty in my thoughts and prayers. Sally in San Jose
