It's that way for my own health care too. I get acupuncture regularly, and use herbs and homeopathy. But in a crunch, they're not going to be there for me, so I have a regular M.D. who "understands" and appreciates my other treatments.

I am all for alternative treatments and use them all the time. However, I would caution against doing a phone consult with this particular clinic, or at least not taking your cat off of anything that seems to be helping in order to do what this clinic recommends. I also recommend against starting a ton of herbs at the same time. I think adding one at a time is a better way to go.
