MaryChristine's story reminds me of the night someone knocked on my door in London to tell me they thought I should know that my next-doorneighbor's three-story house was on fire. It was indeed on fire--when I poked my head in the yard I could see it was ablaze from top to bottom. Although the shell of her house was saved, all its contents were destroyed and she had to move out for 6 months. What had caused it? Kitty had climbed up the drapes, as kitties will do, and this time the drapes fell down...onto the space heater, which was switched on. Within seconds the drapes were ablaze, etc etc. The main thing is that kitty survived. My neighbor decided space heaters were a bad idea and installed central heating when she and kitty moved back in. Kerry

My partner said that they could stay here indefinitely as long as they don't jeopardize our housing situation, but today they caused a flood in our bathroom that leaked out into the apartment complex hallway and we had a mad scramble to explain to the head of maintenance. So I really need to find them homes soon before we get evicted because of them. If anyone knows of someone considering adopting an FeLV positive cat, please let me know. They are all black and about 5 months old. Everyone is otherwise healthy, Chili seems to be sensitive to the heat and overexertion. Two girls and one boy are in need of homes.
