Macarena,
Thank you for your nice message.  You have a great heart for animals, I am glad that Chile has you for the sweet animals.  I think things will be just fine with Sophie.  We will work with what we have.

Terri,
Thank you for your prayers, they are very much appreciated.

Tamara, (T!) :-)
Thank you for your nice message but hey, you were the one willing to drive 14 hours to find homes for two sweet kits, Simms and Sophie.  I think it will work out with Sophie, we will keep at it.  Thanks, kiddo.

Tonya,
Thank you for your nice message.  I did call animal legal services and they told me what to do in regard to the vet that mutilated Sophie.  I wrote to him as suggested and said that I was disappointed that he did not respond to my first letter and that if I did not hear from him within 10 days of receiving the second letter that I may pursue legal action against him.  I thought he was not going to reply when 10 days had passed but instead I got a letter from his malpractice insurance company.  I sent them documentation but the agent told me that likely the claim would be turned down because Sophie was not my cat when the damage was done.  The vet said he was confused as to why I was writing him because he did everything successfully to help Sophie (per the agent).  ??????  I guess he thought she would be allright with an open rectum sticking out of an open wound.  I will keep you posted if I ever hear back, OK?
